Bryan
has a Masters in Natural Resource Management from Simon Fraser University
and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Honours) from UBC. Since joining Dovetail in
1995, Bryan has worked on a wide variety of projects for the provincial and federal governments,
First Nations, non-profit groups, and the private sector. His primary interest
is community-based land use planning and natural resource management; in
particular, helping local communities apply a land ethic to contemporary
land use challenges. Bryan is known as a proficient planner, researcher, writer and facilitator.
Bryan lives in Vancouver with his
son Kieran and his
partner, Tomalene. He is an avid runner in the city, but enjoys the backcountry most, where he pursues a passionate interest
in nature photography and telemark skiing. Bryan has served on
numerous non-profit boards for over 20 years. He is the past President of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, BC
Chapter, and past Vice Chair, Alpine Club of Canada, Vancouver
Section.
